Ship that delivered explosive to Beirut was not supposed to stop there: captain

The captain of the ship that delivered tonnes of ammonium nitrate to the Beirut port in 2013 said that the ship’s owner was ’being greedy’ when he asked him to make an unscheduled stop in Lebanon to pick up extra cargo before resuming their journey to Africa. Boris Prokoshev said the crew, however, couldn’t safely load the cargo resulting in a legal dispute, which left the ship at the port.
