With 17 deaths and 394 cases, Australia’s Victoria records deadliest day

Victoria, the second most populous state of Australia recorded its deadliest day since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. 17 people died due to COVID-19, and the police in Melbourne thwarted a planned anti-mask rally. The state also reported 394 cases in the past 24 hours, and the total deaths in the state now stand at 210. Most of the infections are concentrated in Melbourne.
