Environmental emergency declared after oil spill in Mauritius

An environmental emergency has been declared in Mauritius following an oil spill after a ship ran aground on a coral reef. Environmental activists, students and residents of Mauritius tried to reduce damage to the island. With more cracks to the hull being reported due to high winds and rough seas, workers could be seen working non-stop in order to stop more oil from leaking out.
