Riot declared in Portland after police union building set on fire

A group of demonstrators lit a fire inside the Portland police union building Saturday, leading police to declare a riot and order the area cleared. Three officers were injured when police tried to disperse the crowd that had erected a fence, pushed dumpsters in the street, set a dumpster on fire, spray painted the office and destroyed security cameras, a police release said.

I remember my grandparents talking about how the 1969 riots in Detroit was more or less the final nail in the coffin. Destroying your own city will not fix anything , we need discussion.
