Saudi Aramco is to pay $75bn in dividends this year, despite profits declining 73% as the Covid-19 pandemic impact oil demand. The huge dividend payout is primarily to the Saudi govt, as it is crucial to managing the kingdom’s finances. Profits declined 73.4% in Q2 to 24.6bn riyals. However CEO Amin Nasser told reporters that there were some signs that energy demand is beginning to rise again.
