7 million posts removed by Facebook for false COVID-19 information

Social media giant Facebook announced on Tuesday that it had removed 7 million posts in the second quarter of the year for sharing misleading information about the coronavirus. The company said that posts which shared content promoting fake preventative measures and exaggerated cures had been removed. The data was released by Facebook as part of its sixth Community Standards Enforcement Report.
