Experts fear extent of damage as oil drained by Mauritius from stricken ship

Environmentalists are worried about the 1,000 tons of oil that has spilled into the sea after a ship ran aground a coral reef close to Mauritius on the 25th of July. 500 remaining tons of the oil have been removed in a frantic effort by Mauritius as fears increased of the ship breaking in half. The damage done to the coral reefs due to the spillage could be irreversible, experts further said.
