Greece will have to pay a ’high price’ warns Turkey

Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan claimed that one of their ships in the Mediterranean waters had been attacked and warns that if the Oruc Reis vessel is attacked, Greece would have to pay a ’high price’. Turkish authorities state that Oruc Reis will be carrying out ’exploratory search’ for oil in the disputed sea body till August 23.

I am not an Erdogan supported but I am a Turkish citizen. First, please check the map Greece offers to Turkey and tell me if it looks fair to you (Almost no rights in any of the both Seas). And then also please check following ruling of International Court of Justice (of United Nations): 1) Delimitation of the Maritime Boundary in the Gulf of Maine Area (Canada/United States of America), 2) Maritime Delimitation in the Black Sea (Romania v. Ukraine), 3) Continental Shelf (Libyan Arab Jamahiriya/Malta) and more rulings... It is clear that islands are not part of a country's continental shelf; thus, can not be accounted when deciding Maritime Delimitation. The only reason USA and EU try to make it look like Turkey is escalating things militarily is because International Law is not in their side at all. Turkey is in a vulnerable spot due to its incompetent governance in the last 10 years, and USA & EU try to get something they can never get by law through other means...
