Independent probe demanded by partner of dead protester in Belarus

The partner of a protester who was killed during protests in Belarus demanded an independent probe of his death. The protester, Alexander Taraikovsky, aged 34, died when a peaceful protest was dispersed by the police using rubber bullets, stun grenades, and clubs. The protest was being held to contest the results of the elections which gave Alexander Lukashenko power for the 6th time.
