Lori Lightfoot, the mayor of Chicago slammed people who had ’come for a fight’ as the reason behind the violent protests which have rocked the city. She further said that the police department had resolved to protect peaceful demonstrators, but would also take action against those who wished to harm the police and people who were expressing their First Amendment rights peacefully.
