Criminal case opened against the opposition in Belarus as protests continue

A criminal case has been opened against the opposition in Belarus as prosecutors in Belarus accused the opposition of trying to seize power. The case was opened as protests against Alexander Lukashenko’s 26-year regime continued. A possibility of trials as well as jail time for the leaders of the coordination committee has risen due to the announcement.
