Judge dismisses Trump’s second attempt to block subpoena for tax returns

A federal judge has dismissed Trump’s latest bid to block a subpoena for his tax returns from Manhattan DA Cy Vance Jr. The ruling by District Judge Victor Marrero relied on the Supreme Court’s decision last month that rejected Trump’s claim that presidents enjoy absolute immunity from criminal probes. Following the ruling, Trump filed an emergency appeal to delay the enforcement of the subpoena.

Ok, the NY procecutor is allowed to get the records for use in his attemt to find a crime for the charges already filed. That does not mean the tax records become automatically public record. If (when) the information is leaked to the media, the source for that leak should be procecuted and a mistrial called on all of it since the motivation for all of this is to put the tax information out there, not to procecuted a known crime.
