Plans for Pompeo to address Republican Convention defended by RNC chair

Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee defended programming for the Republican National Convention amid reports that Mike Pompeo will be delivering a speech at the Convention while he is in the Middle East. Ms. McDaniel said that the Party would be covering all costs of convention events. She was also asked if taxpayer money was being used for the President’s campaign.
