House passes $25bn bill to fund US Postal Service

The House Saturday passed a bill to infuse $25B into the USPS and block any changes to its operations that could slow delivery of mailed-in ballots for the election. The bill would prioritize election mail as ’first class’, to ensure ballots arrive in time. The House passed the measure by a vote of 257 to 150, with 26 Republicans siding with Dems to approve it. The WH has threatened to veto it.

I can't imagine a company needing 25 billion dollars to do the job they already charge more than the industry standard to do. The postal service needs to be shut down not bailed out again. It has failed too many times even through restructurings. Time to cut the cord on this one. Spin it off as a private company if you want and let it fail on it's own, but stop ramming cash into this money pit.
