More than $110 million to be paid in back taxes by Facebook in France

According to a statement by Facebook, after a ten year audit of its accounts by French tax authorities, Facebook’s French subsidiary is set to pay more than 100 million euros. The sum will be paid in back taxes and also include a penalty. France has claimed that such big companies pay very little tax in the country even though they have significant sales in the region.
