Global smartphone sales dropped 20.4% in the second quarter of 2020, according to Gartner. The firm said the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact the phone industry. Out of the top five smartphone vendors, Samsung saw the biggest drop in sales recording a decline of 27.1% year over year. Apple’s sales were almost flat year-over-year. Huawei’s recorded a 27.4% quarter-over-quarter growth.
VR headset sales are up.
People aren't dropping their phones as much, or handing them over to other people.
