CDC backtracks on its Covid-19 testing policy change
The CDC has backtracked on the abruptly changed testing policy which said people who came into contact with COVID-19 patients but don’t have symptoms ’do not necessarily need a test’. Experts criticized the policy which could allow cases to flare. On Thursday, the NY Times reported that CDC has now said testing should be considered for all close contacts of confirmed or probable COVID-19 patients.
