Apple stops Facebook app update calling out 30% App Store fee

Apple rejected one of Facebook’s new app updates after it tried to inform users that Apple collects 30% of in-app purchases. Facebook said the message was meant to be included as part of a new online events feature, but Apple rejected the update on the grounds of ’irrelevant’ information. Facebook says the message was intended to improve transparency.

Apple can do this, and Apple can charge 30% on in app purchases because companies except it. Sure they cry, but they want the exposure and revenue that come with being on the platform. If they started distancing themselves like fortnite did Apple might start looks at changes.
