DNI John Ratcliffe claims political operatives are pushing a misleading narrative which emphasizes Russia’s threat to US elections over a rising threat from China. This is really serious. China has already been accused of interference in Australia, and it obviously has a keen interest in who wins the White House in November, for that will determine US relations with China. If the Chinese are indeed working on trying to influence these elections in any which way, there are a few things we must keep in mind: Trust traditional media and stay away from social media. Traditional media, for all its faults, has certain checks in place which social media does not have. Get your news from trusted sources. That is really, really important, not just in the days leading up to the election, but beyond it, too.
