Greece wildfire blackens gates of ancient fortified city of Mycenae

A wildfire swept through an area near the archaeological site of Mycenae in Greece. However, the Greek government said the fire didn’t cause any damage to the monuments and the museum there except the smoke blackening the entrance of the 3,250-year-old Lion Gate – entrance to the ancient city, which lies around 120 kilometers (75 miles) southwest of Athens.
