South Korea indicts Samsung group head over controversial 2015 merger

SK prosecutors indicted Samsung Group head Jay Lee on charges including influencing stock prices and breach of trust in order to be in charge of the group. The charge is for contentious 2015 merger of two Samsung affiliates that helped him gain greater control of the group’s core company Samsung Electronics. He additionally accused of bribing horses to win govt support for the said merger.
