Russians hired freelancers to spread misinformation, say Facebook and Twitter

Social Media giants, Facebook and Twitter, have suspended a number of accounts linked to misinformation campaigns. The accounts are categorized as troll sites, allegedly run by Russians. The said sites hired freelance journalists to post and spread unverified information, thus sparking concerns as the American election season draws closer.
