Typhoon Maysak batters South Korea; 1 killed, thousands moved to shelters

Typhoon Maysak made landfall early on Thursday in Busan on the southern coast, and lashed the Korean peninsula knocking down traffic lights and trees and flooding streets. Authorities said at least one person was killed and 2,000 moved to temporary shelters as the powerful typhoon battered everything on its path.

Well, I feel lucky. I live less than 100km from Busan, where two deaths were reported, but I managed to sleep through it.
