A month after deadly blast, another stash of ammonium nitrate found in Beirut

A month after the deadly Lebanon explosion, which is attributed to an unattended stockpile of ammonium nitrate in a Beirut port warehouse, another large stash of the hazardous chemical has been found in the area. The Lebanese army found four tons of ammonium nitrate stored inside a shipping container and quickly moved it out. Last month’s blast killed 190 people and injured thousands more.

If the government was this unaware of how many potentially explosive stashes it had, then there is no justification for them to be in their seats of power at all. What's more is that their new Prime Minister Mustafa Adib was asked by a protester recently if his new government would bar discredited politicians, he replied: “God willing.” In the Arab world, that's usually 'maybe' at best.
