The Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, a non-profit group released a report which identified 7,750 protests between May 26 and Aug. 22 in 2,400 locations. The report claimed that 90 percent of these protests were peaceful, despite many incidents of violence being reported from numerous US cities over the summer. The report further claimed that 220 protests had turned violent.
I'm sure the people whose businesses were looted o r burned to the ground well take comfort in that statistic. As well as those innocents who were shot.
By definition a protest is peaceful. When it is not, it becomes a riot. Its become so confusing to conflate the two.
I don't care about the percentages. First, the "protests" are based on a narrative completely contrived by the media without any factually support. Second, if you continue to show up to actually peacefully protest in a place that those protests have regularly broken down into violence then all you are doing is providing criminals aid and support.
