Three-quarters of refugee aid agencies suspended by Uganda from operating

The government of Uganda has suspended more than 200 refugee aid groups for the non-compliance of rules and permits. The refugee aid groups have cried foul as some activists worry that the 1.4 million refugees residing in Uganda could be impacted by the suspension. The suspensions have been welcomed as a move towards transparency and regulation by the UN special advisor on gender and displacement.
