Judge orders Trump administration stop ’winding down’ census collection

A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to temporarily stop efforts to scale back collection of data and processing of timelines for the 2020 Census. The judge issued a temporary restraining order blocking the administration from implementing plans that would shorten census efforts, including ’winding down or altering any Census field operations’. The order remains in effect until Sep 17.

Not sure why I bother looking anymore, but of couse the judge is a Democrat appointee. And to be honest not sure if this is a case of a judge legislating from the bench or not--kind of feels like it is as dictating how another branch of the government does its job seems incorrect somehow.
