African tech startups continue to attract investment during pandemic

As per a January report from WeeTrackerTech, startups operating in Africa crossed the $1B mark in venture funding secured last year. Total venture funding for African startups this year had passed the $500M mark as of July. However, amid the pandemic, total funding in African startups this year could drop by as much as 40%. I would have to say investors from around the world are funding this growth. It would seem to be no more dangerous than investing in the US/ China. People are definitely looking for a little more stability, it's nice to see Africa in general not being in the news for violence or political unrest/upheaval.
