Pharma CEOs vow to put safety over shortcuts in Covid-19 vaccine development
Countering President Donald Trump’s assertion that a coronavirus vaccine will be developed by the time of the November presidential election, the CEOs of AstraZeneca, BioNTech, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Moderna, Novavax, Pfizer and Sanofi vowed they won’t submit their coronavirus vaccines for regulatory approval unless large clinical trials prove them to be safe and effective.

Well first of all, everything I’ve heard come from Trump’s mouth says we’ll have a vaccine by the end of the year. And he also stated that MAYBE we’ll have a vaccine by November. So he didn’t “promise” or say that any vaccine will be done by the election. Also - he’s not the regulatory body approving it, a scientist developing or testing its effectiveness and safety, or the manufacturer. So being against this vaccine just because it happened on trump’s watch is absurd.
