Biden campaign suffers setback in South Florida as Latino support wanes

New polls show Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is struggling in the key state of Florida, especially in South Florida and Miami-Dade County, as Latino’s swinging in favor of President Donald Trump. This is also seen as a result of Trump outspending Biden by around $4 million on TV ads, much of which were in Spanish language.

Most Cubans in South Florida vote Republican. It’s changed somewhat with my generation and younger, but not by much. They have an enterprise in Miami, Coral Gables and surrounding areas. They leave their mark in politics, corporations, and community. They make sure to make specific areas affluent, making it difficult for people earning less than six figures to live there. The lucky ones fled with their money, and the ones that came afterwards were instantly naturalized. Those got helped by the State and established by the Cubans that were there already. Most being family members. They are a very capitalist group. Didn’t work for Bernie and I don’t see it working for Biden. They don’t care if the president is a man, a woman, gay, black or has a peg leg...all those social tensions will fall on deaf ears. Their only concern and question is: They tried taking our money and power 60 years ago. Now that we’ve achieved it, which one of these two is going to make sure it stays that way? Which one is not?
