Two Myanmar soldiers testify to slaughter of Rohingya

Two Myanmar soldiers have been taken to The Hague after confessing to murdering Rohingya Muslims during a 2017 crackdown. The two men admitted to killing dozens of villagers in northern Rakhine state and burying them in mass graves. Myanmar denies the killings. The case is being investigated by the International Criminal Court

This confession is so, so murky. News outlets have not been able to verify the claims, these men were captured by an insurgent group but no one knows how they were captured by the group. The Myanmar military and government have issued no official statement. While no one can deny the fact that the Rohingyas were indeed targeted by the army of Myanmar, this particular confession seems quite murky.
