Ancient bear from Ice Age found ’completely preserved’ in Russian Arctic

Researchers have said reindeer herders in the Russian Arctic have discovered the remains of a bear from the Ice Age in an exceptionally well-preserved condition. They said the bear was found because of the melting permafrost in northeastern Russia’s Lyakhovsky Islands. They said it was a relative of the modern brown bear that lived 22,000 to 39,500 years ago.
