Sen Josh Hawley calls TikTok-Oracle deal ’unacceptable,’ urges US to reject it

Senator Josh Hawley has called upon the US Treasury Department to reject Oracle’s proposed deal with TikTok, saying it was detrimental to national security. The deal has received praise from Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, who is also chairs the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. The green signal for the deal to be approved will come from the CFIUS.
