India defense minister says China violated pacts, militarized border
Rajnath Singh, India’s defense minister, has accused China of violating mutual agreements to maintain peace along the disputed border, also known as the line of actual control (LAC), between the two countries. He also accused China of militarizing the LAC. Singh said this in a Parliament address. Indian and Chinese troops are in a tense standoff at the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
