UN report says world failed to meet even one target to stop nature’s destruction

A United Nations report has said that the world has failed to meet even one of the 20 biodiversity targets that the world body set 10 years ago to stop the destruction of nature. The Global Biodiversity Outlook 5 found that despite some progress, natural habitats have continued to disappear, extinction threat of species remains and governments failed to cut subsidies on nature-damaging activities.
