Japan joins ’Covax’ global effort for Covid-19 vaccine, Taiwan to follow suit

Japan said it has pledged 17.2 billion yen ($164 million) for its participation in the World Health Organization’s Covid-19 vaccine program, also known as Covax. The program seeks to help buy and fairly distribute vaccination shots against the novel coronavirus around the world. Earlier, Taiwan too said it would join program to get access to a Covid-19 vaccine when one becomes available.

Looks promising that countries are uniting behind the development and dissemination of a vaccine. Sad to hear tho that it might come end of 2021.
