Psychiatrist says Assange hears voices in prison

A psychiatrist who has interviewed Julian Assange told his extradition hearing that Assange has complained about hearing music as well as imaginary voices. The founder of WikiLeaks is detained at a high security prison in Britain. The psychiatrist further said that if the former hacker would be extradited to the US for leaking secrets of the military, he would be a ’very high’ suicide risk.

Prolonged isolation does this to you. It is a sick and twisted punishment to destroy someone's mind.

The damage to “national security” (whatever that means) was at most minor. Certainly not worth 175 years. Worse than that, several high profile individuals have skated justice for far more serious leaks and violations in recent years. 10 years and a mental breakdown are “punishment” enough. Just pardon him already.
