Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich ’confesses’ on state TV

Detained journalist Protasevich has again appeared on Belarusian state media, in what his family calls an appearance under duress. Protasevich, 26, said in the interview that he has ’pleaded guilty’ to organizing large-scale ’unsanctioned protests’ following the country’s disputed elections last year. Protasevich also breaks down as he says he never wants to get involved in politics again.

The first distaste is that the European airlines were surprised by this stunt of Belarus. They basically hijacked the plane with their jets and forced it to land. And of course this guy has been tortured and is facing a cruel death.
