Listening to NPR. They are openly discussing how to fabricate an attack on the nominee. They kept hitting on the idea of her membership in a conservative catholic organization called People of Praise. The most 'damning' point being that this group calls on wives to turn to their husbands (amongst others as well) for counsel in times of uncertainty or crisis. The talking heads quickly connected the dots. What if a husband is beating his wife to death and then she has to turn to him for counsel. Why it's patently obvious these women are being brutality oppressed by patriarchal terrorism and if confirmed this woman will as a justice be a blunt instrument to help the enemy control women by, and I quote"knock them up and confiscate their shoes". The howls of indignity ensue. I'm thinking how does one sit on the most powerful court in the world and rule on the most important issues of the day without shoes?
