Journalists slam Trump for reveling in ’beautiful sight’ of violence on reporter

After President Donald Trump gleefully recalled the ’beautiful sight’ of MSNBC reporter Ali Velshi getting shot in the leg by a rubber bullet, many journalists expressed their disgust and condemnation of the president on Twitter. Among them, Adam Weinstein of MSNBC said he felt safer in Baghdad in 2009 than in America today. Chris Sommerfeldt of NY Daily News said Trump’s words were ’disturbing.’

While I can't agree with Adam Weinstein's exaggeration on being safer in Baghdad than the US, isn't what the President saying unnecessary? Does this not invoke a sense of apathy for someone? That can't be the "American values" that are touted by people from across the political spectrum right?
