California moves to ban sales of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035

California has set an ambitious plan to ban sales of new gas-powered vehicles by 2035. Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order for the state to move towards this goal. The order directs the state’s Air Resources Board to draft rules that would require sales of more electric-powered vehicles. This is the first such order in the United States that would ban gasoline engines.

how in the world are middle and low income people ever going to be able to buy alternative fuel cars ? I’d have to finance the battery alone, much less the entire car. Then there is the question of charging stations. Are other states going to invest in charging stations to accommodate the California traveler that’s driving through Texas or Iowa ?
