Trump pressed on whether he would commit to peaceful transition of power

President Trump was pressed to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he loses the Nov. election. Responding to a question around the matter, Trump said, ’Well, we’ll have to see what happens. You know that. I’ve been complaining very strongly about the ballots. And the ballots are a disaster’. ’There won’t be a transfer, frankly — there’ll be a continuation’, he continued.

Unfortunately, those actions could lead the country into a civil war. As always, Trump is always about Trump, so anything is possible. He seems to think that the Supreme Court will help him hold office. I am not an attorney, but it seems in reading the Constitution that the Supreme Court doesn’t have a lot of authority over an election. Regardless of what party you belong to, this rhetoric should terrify any American that believes in democracy.
