Small Romanian town re-elects dead mayor in a landslide

A small Romanian town with around 3,000 residents re-elected their mayor by a landslide even though he died two weeks ago from Covid-19. The residents of the small town named Deveselu say Ion Aliman ’deserved to win because he had done a good job.’ Talking to a TV channel, one of them said, ’He took the side of the village, respected all the laws. I don’t think we will see a mayor like him again.’
