CDC finds Covid-19 rates among teens nearly double that of children

A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study found that the rate of coronavirus infections among adolescents aged between 12 and 17 is nearly double the rate of infections in children between the ages 5 and 11. The study found the average weekly incidence of Covid-19 in adolescents to be roughly 37 cases per 100,000 children versus 19 cases per 100,000 children aged between 5 and 11.

It is unreal how misleading a headline can be. "Double" of a relatively low number is still a low number. The pandemic fear mongering needs to stop. Protect the most vulnerable and open things up otherwise.
