50 homes being given by Philadelphia to encampment protesters

Over 50 vacant city owned homes in Philadelphia are being converted into affordable low cost housing. This move was being protested by Philadelphia Housing Action which felt that most of the houses were unlivable and needed major funds for basic repairs. 50 mothers and children who have been occupying 15 vacant city-owned houses will also be permitted to stay.

Here’s a hot mess that just can’t wait to happen? Overcrowding people into substandard and in some cases condemned property that can’t pass city code. Someone starts a fire, fire suppression systems in the buildings don’t work, loss of life, city gets sued, wash, rinse, repeat.
