India court acquits all accused in 1992 mosque demolition case

An Indian court has acquitted all 32 people accused of crimes in a 1992 demolition of a 16th century mosque that sparked Hindu-Muslim riots leaving some 2,000 people dead. Four senior leaders of the ruling BJP government had been among the defendants at the trial. The four were accused of making inflammatory speeches that incited thousands to attack the mosque.
