Following the presidential debate on Tuesday, Google searches for moving to Canada spiked. Searches for ’how to apply for Canadian citizenship’ skyrocketed about an hour into the debate, peaking around 10:30 pm. The search was most popular in the states of Massachusetts, Ohio and Michigan. ’How to move to Canada’ and ’move to Canada’ also experienced a surge in searches.
