Senate panel subpoenas bosses of Google, Facebook and Twitter

The US Senate Commerce Committee has voted to subpoena the CEOs of Google, Facebook, and Twitter. Now, Sundar Pichai, Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorsey face grilling by senators about their policies on different content types. This is seen as a major escalation in Congress’s efforts to revisit the liability protections of Section 230, which was added in the 1996 Communications Decency Act.
