Relief ’imminent’, says Pelosi, as she calls on airlines to stop layoffs

Nancy Pelosi called on airlines to hold off on any layoffs or furloughs for tens of thousands of employees facing job cuts. She further promised that Congress would implement payroll support one way or the other. The Congress is looking at implementing standalone legislation to extend the Payroll Support Program for aviation workers or include it in a comprehensive coronavirus relief package.
