Nigeria demands social media firms get local license

The Nigerian Govt. has ordered social media firms wanting to operate in the country to register a local entity and be licensed, the country’s information minister said on Wednesday. The new regulations, which come after the govt. banned Twitter last week, will include conditions for continued operation, Nigeria’s information minister said. No deadline for registration and licensing was given.
